Evaluating a SaaS subscription
A short evaluation checklist for software subscriptions. No invented ROI, EPC, or approval claims.
Define the job before the brand
Write the workflow you need in one sentence. Compare products against that job, not against a feature checklist copied from a homepage.
Trials, seats, and renewal math
Note trial length, what happens when it ends, seat or usage limits, and the renewal price after discounts expire. “From $X” pricing is incomplete until you know which plan unlocks the feature you need.
Cancellation and data exit
Find how to cancel, whether you keep export access after cancellation, and which regions the vendor supports. Do not assume worldwide availability from an English marketing site.
Affiliate links and commissions
If a publisher link is an affiliate placement, the disclosure should sit next to the link. A tracked URL is not proof of product quality, and local click counts are not network-confirmed commissions. PickWise treats SaaS enrollment as a separate operator process from physical-product shopping.
